Bala ŋanapurru ŋathana, ga gapuna ḻuka.

Bala ŋanapurru marrtjina maypalwuna ḻukanharawu,

ŋuliŋurunydja ŋanapurru marrtji bala djikuyuwuna.

Bala walalanydja Djupa, ga Djerrkŋu, ga Dayŋawa marrtji bala djikuyuwu, ga walala djamarrkuḻinydja borum ḻuka djiṉ'pu.

A Story about Yalaŋbara told by Ganydjira.
This story was told and illustrated by Ganydjira Munungurr, who attends the Yirrkala Pre-School, the text was written down by her teacher.
The children with their teachers, went on a day trip to Yalaŋbara, a Homeland Centre some 80 odd kilometres from Yirrkala, and Ganydjira told this story when she went to Pre-School in the following week:-
(2)	We all went to Yalaŋbara.
(4)	At the place we went for a swim.
(6)	Then we ate food and drink.
(8)	Then we went and found shell fish (oysters).
(10) From there we drove on to get crabs.
(12) Our teachers - Djupa, Djerrkŋu and Dayŋawa went for the crabs and the children ate some wild fruit (djiṉ'pu).
