English Translation : The Devil with Red Eyes
One day all the old people went hunting.
They left their children at home.
The sun was going down and one little boy went swimming in the river. While he was swimming he didn't realise that adevil was watching him from a big tree. Then he heard the devil birds calling out.
He got out of the water and started running back to the camp and he tod all the other children.
It was night-time when the devil made a big noise. All the children came out and saw the devil standing there. The children were all scared and they went inside their shelter,
The devil had long ears, big teeth and long finger nails.
The devil walked around the house so that he could go in and take the children away. But their parents were coming with fire sticks and the devil saw the light and took off.
He ran straight for the river and dived in the water where he had a cave.
From that time the children never went swimming in that river again.
