Abstract Coding is a useful technique in digital communications system. Different types of coding technique have been developed for digital transmission. In this thesis, an efficient coding technique named as Cyclic-Quasi-Cyclic (QC)-LDPC is introduced. The encoding and decoding processes of these codes are easy to simplify and implement. However, QC codes require more than one encoder compared to cyclic codes; QC codes are combined with Euclidean Geometry Cyclic LDPC codes and their performance over AWGN is verified. The algorithm used for encoding and decoding are based on circulant matrices and implemented on MATLAB for simulation results. The decoding technique is conducted by different algorithms such as sum product, weighted bit flip and bit flipping algorithms. The weighted bit flipping and bit flipping algorithm results are quite consistent as very low Bit Error Rate(BER) has been noticed at suitable energy per bit ratio. A list of Quasi-Cyclic cyclic LDPC codes has been found and channel encoding and decoding with these codes have been achieved.
