We want to see if the current ‘crisis’ can help Alice Springs (ASP) create a new path to prosperity for its tourism industry. We want to focus on analysing what IS happening in ASP tourism (rather than just criticising what is NOT happening) and identifying indicators which might inform new development paths. This document is not a technical research document, although the opinions and insights are drawn from over ten years of research in the region. A list of more technical readings and data sources is included at the end of the document.
