Description A Profile of Pat Ferrier, written and compiled by Dana Dabrowska in consultation with E Ferrier. Pat was a Triple Certificate Nurse [General, Midwifery & Infant Health]. She arrived in the Northern Territory in the mid-1950s and except for brief periods overseas and five years in Canberra, she spent her nursing career in the Northern Territory, working in Katherine, Darwin, Batchelor, Maningrida, Adelaide River and Amoonguna. Towards the end of her career, she became concerned for the loss of historical value in disposing of obsolete instruments with approval, she collected them, with them being donated later to the Nursing Museum.
