Description Lambell House, commonly known as the New Sisters Home in the 1960s was a fine example of Tropical Institutional Architecture. After the hospital moved to Casuarina Lambell House became student residences (air-conditioned) of the University College of the Northern Territory in 1987, later Northern Territory University. Building demolished c1997 for development amidst much controversy. First of a collection of photographs taken by Ann after cyclone Tracy Dec 1974. Ann lived in Lambell House which was one of the nurses homes for Darwin Hospital. This is part of the display at the Darwin Hospital reunion for pre Cyclone sta (missing text). On back of photo 'Car parked under Lambell House moved approx.10 feet over'.
