Description Sisters Gray and Elsie King the first Australian Inland Mission Sisters at Wimmera (Victoria River Downs). Nurses This copy of an original black and white 1924 photograph shows Sisters Grey and Elsie King, the first sisters at the Australian Inland Mission’s [Presbyterian Church] Wimmera House [1922-1939]1 on Victoria River Downs. The copy has been obtained from NT Archives Service as shown by a pasted notice on the back stamped and reading “Northern Territory Archives Service – NTAS NTAS 234 CP155/4” and handwritten in red is identification of the two nurses. Both the back and the pasted notice show discolouration otherwise the photograph is in good condition. It is historical significance to the NT nursing and health service story 1.
