Description Sister Villias being taken by Aboriginal people at Umbakumba, Groote Island to catch the flying boat plane (QANTAS) to Darwin. In the background is a long jetty. Flying boat base established 1937 by Department of Civil Aviation across the bay from Umbakumba Settlement (started by Fred Gray 1938-1958 for trepanning, becoming Church Missionary Society Mission 1958-c.1961). On the back of the photo is a description includes date 1930-1940.
