Item Name REMOTE AREA HEALTH
Description Aboriginal health worker at a rural health clinic standing next to a trolley containing medicines. Note the stainless steel canisters used to store sterile dressings; note drawer in trolley.
Materials Colour photograph
Importance Local
Significance note Representativeness for remote area health. In this colour photograph, an Aboriginal health worker at a rural health clinic is shown standing next to a trolley containing medicines. Note: the stainless steel canisters used to store sterile dressings and cotton swabs. It is indicative probably of the decades of the 1970s and/or 1980s but it is disappointing that there are no details of date, site or name to more definitely add to NT nursing and health service history. The photograph is in reasonable condition with no apparent fading of colour. It has some brown spots on the back and has drawing pin impressions and holes from use for display.
