Baby in mosquito netted cot as used at Tennant Creek, other Territory Hospitals and settlements prior to the advent of air conditioning. In the era before air-conditioning nets were widely used in hospitals to protect patients from flying/biting insects. Mosquito borne diseases are endemic in the Northern Territory.
